With Fire by Forge packed wall to wall, the Pour-Offs Season 1 Finals became a celebration of Connecticut hospitality at its best. Bartenders, fans, and fellow competitors filled the room as High Proof Hustlers and Taco ’Bout Tipsy battled through inspired, deeply thoughtful cocktails. Every drink impressed, every pour mattered, and the finale delivered everything this league was built to be.

High energy filled Pig’s Eye Pub as the Pour-Offs CCCL Semi-Finals delivered drama, upsets, and razor-thin finishes. Taco ’Bout Tipsy shocked the room, with Jordyn and Mary posting the top two scores of the night to eliminate Diablos. In the second match, High Proof Hustlers edged out Aged & Infused by just three points. Now it’s set: a red-hot Cinderella run meets season-long consistency in the finals at Fire by Forge.

Week 6 delivered a wild finish as Aged & Infused took the win with Mi Campo tequila week, Diablos claimed the #1 seed, and the playoff bracket locked in. High Proof Hustlers secured #2, Aged & Infused jumped to #3, and Taco ’Bout Tipsy clinched the final spot. Ride-or-die spirits are chosen, the matchups are set, and the Pour-Offs playoffs officially begin December 15th at Pig’s Eye Pub.

Week 5 delivered fireworks! High Proof Hustlers posted a season-high 120 points with "Think Outside the Bowl," reclaiming first place heading into the finale. Diablos stayed hot with 117 points, just 1 point behind. Aged and Infused bounced back with a clutch 100-point performance to solidify their playoff spot. With one match left, the top 4 are set, but seeding is everything. Who claims the #1 seed?

High Proof Hustlers claimed their first win at Hop Haus Berlin with 102 points, holding a commanding lead after four straight top-three finishes. Taco ’Bout Tipsy continued their hot streak with a second-place finish, while Diablos stayed steady in third. With Aged & Infused slipping and two matches left, every pour now counts.

Five years in, the Anthony Bourdain Suicide Prevention Dinner has become more than an event — it’s a family reunion for Connecticut’s hospitality hearts. This year, I was honored to step behind the bar, serving alongside some of the best chefs, bartenders, and humans in the business. Taco 'Bout Tipsy claimed their first victory with "Midnight Embers," a bourbon espresso martini that scored 107 points and ended Diablos Team's winning streak. With a Splash surged back with a +29 point improvement, while High Proof Hustlers remained the only team with three consecutive top-3 finishes. The Diablos Team stayed perfect with a league-record 111 points, while High Proof Hustle surged into second with 107. Both teams feature bartenders nominated for Best Bar Team in Connecticut, fueling an early-season rivalry. With Nutmeg Knockouts holding steady and Taco ’Bout Tipsy showing creative promise, the playoff race is already shaking up.
